Hi folks!!

Wishing Everyday of the New Year 2022 to be filled with Success, Happiness and Prosperity.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2022

Welcome you all to new year- new blog.

It was great start for the year 2022. Yesterday dine at Hotel Naati Mani at Hospet was full of flavor, delicious and tasty. After long time had delish ragi mudde with naati chicken masala and chicken lolipop has starter. Amazing combination with reasonable prices. Have some parking for car and good ambient. I will give feedback rating of 8 (10 being best and 0 being poor).

Today being Sunday planned to visit 'Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological Park', Kamalapur situated at Vijayanagara district, Karnataka. We started by 11am from our home and reached the park at 11:20am.  It is said that the park is spread an area of 141 hectares with safari & zoo combination and it's near by Hampi too. Every Tuesday is holiday and other days open timing hours 9:30 to 17:30. Entry fees of Rs. 150 for adults ( including safari & zoo), Rs. 50 for only zoo. It has spacious for vehicle parking also; with charge of Rs. 20/-. I was surprised to see mission statement also " To inspire our public to value the presence of living things in our lives by providing an enjoyable and educational experience on wild life".

Entrance to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological Park

Parking places for 4 wheelers and separate parking for 2 wheelers also

The safari by bus is good attempt to showcase the animals in wild. Jeep is the other way to have safari. We (me & my wife) chose bus and once bus was full, safari travel started. During safari had good view of king of jungle 'Lions'🦁, largest living cat species 'Tigers' 🐯 and cute mammal 'Deer's'🦌. It has around 6-7 gates may be for Lion Safari, Tiger Safari and Deer safari. The glimpse of tiger close up view made me trilled.

Entering to Lion Safari

Shhhh!!! Lion sleeping, 2-3 other lions are also in sleep

Bengal Tiger and White Tiger
Roaring Tiger
Deer Family

After around 30-35minutes of travel. Later dropped at zoo which has pleasing entry by walk. Driver said zoo is U-shaped and new bus will come to pick at other end of zoo. The zoo enclosures have some beautiful birds and animals very well looked after. Along the way it was so joyful watching sloth bear flighting for coconut kernels. I will drop a video too check out below.

Let's have picturesque below of zoo first:

Zoo entrance
Emu
Play ground for Rhesus Macaque and Bonnet Macaque (world's old monkey)
Northern Plain Grey Langur/Hanuman Langur
Golden Jackel
Indian Grey Wolf
Indian Leopard
Silver Pheasant
Black Swan
Red Eared Slider Turtle, Indian Star Tortoise, Indian Black Turtle
Crocodile's

Some of other birds and animals were grand eclectus parrot, ring necked parrot, budgerigar, Indian peafowl, Indian striped hyena etc. I was astonished to see greenery development there. I would say that it is a great step for the conservation of biodiversity by Government of Karnataka. This would take another around 30-35 minutes by walk in zoo if you are animals and birds lover and as said new bus was available to drop at entry point.

Once bus reached entry point, we could see huge group of people for their turn to visit. I thought, hopefully we were at right time. There are also small shops with snacks, soft drinks and water bottles; RO drinking water facility too. So totally it is a must visit place for people around Hosapete, Ballari, Sandur and other North Karnataka people.
