Hellooo!! Greetings!!
Welcome Back..
Continuing my blog, part-2 of 'The Journey to Ooty-December month!!'.
After our appealing ride to Bandipur and nice peaceful sleep. Next day we were ready to travel to our next destination after having buffet breakfast at Khan's Gufa Resort. New cab was booked and headed towards Mudumalai. Along the road side we were able to see pretty deer'sπ¦ hopping.
A suggestion for readers those who are planning to travel to Ooty from Mysore. For economical cost, hire a cab from Mysore city itself and visit numerous hill station spots.
Ooty, Queen of Hill station also know has Udagamandalam, is capital of Nilgiris district in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is nested in Nilgiri hills. On the way, we were able to see nature busting with natural splendor comprising mountains, lakes, waterfalls, tea plantations and rang b range (colorful) houses, temples, churches. I was all mesmerized for these three days trip.
To begin with Pykara water falls one of the majestic sight in Ooty-Mysore road, thrilled us with beautiful lake, water fall and hydro electricity generation. After few minutes of traveling we reached our hotel. Our stay was enjoyable in Fortune Retreats, in lofty mountain hill, chilled weather and serving us delicious hot dishes when required.
Our next spot was in Ooty Botanical Garden one of the famous sight seeing place with innumerable varieties of plants and maintained by Horticulture department, Tamil Nadu.
Next destination was to Benchmark Tea and Chocolate factory, where I learnt about tea and chocolate making process and got to taste sample of tea and chocolates for free. Next we moved to Ooty Rose Garden, this is all about flower show in five curved terraces. The chilled weather and adequate monsoon makes it all possible and delightful. I will drop down some image gallery for you guys.
Then we went to undoubtedly one of the very well landscaped tourist attraction in Ooty; Karnataka Siri Horticulture Garden located in Fern Hill. We were able to see vegetation are trimmed into different shapes like peacock, bears etc and well maintained green lawns. Some attractions are Maze garden, Italian garden, flower beds, paved walkway, sheep farming. Worth spending 2 hours there with entry fees of Rs. 30.
Lastly not to miss Ooty Toy train, a experience to get really out of the world. We took toy train from Ooty to Coonoor, we started from Ooty at 5:30pm and reached Coonoor at 6:40pm. Toy train runs completely through the picturesque Nilgiri mountains. We get both first class and second class tickets for enjoying beautiful scenery. Thereafter we travelled back to our hotel.
Guys.. This is our Day-2, lets go for Day-3 in next part. There is plenty to see and do.
I want you guys to enjoy the enchanting Ooty. So do visit Ooty and embrace the natural beauty.
